ABC Coke is the largest merchant producer of foundry coke in the United
States, with typical product characteristics of 92.5% fixed carbon, 7.0% ash ,
0.5% volatile matter, and 0.60% sulfur. ABC operates 132 ovens with an annual
capacity of 730,000 tons of saleable coke and represents more than 50% of total
domestic foundry coke production and sales.
Superior product and reliability of supply are the hallmarks of the ABC
customer relationship. Servicing many industries including, automotive,
construction, smelter, rock wool insulation, and sugar industries, quality
control is the essential component in our operation. Our customers, some
of whom have been using our product for over 40 years, authenticate our
reputation for consistent quality and reliability of supply and service.
ABC Coke places a premium on personal service and a detailed understanding
of customers' needs. A grading and screening process sizes products to fit
the customer’s requirements. These are the essential factors for developing
strong customer relationships.
ABC Coke enjoys close proximity to a well structured transportation system,
including rail cars served by the CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Burlington Northern
rail lines. The coke is placed into the rail cars on-site and transported
further either by rail, truck, or barge. This ensures that customers anywhere
can be serviced directly and receive shipments in a timely manner.
