Land has always been both a valuable asset and treasured resource for Drummond.
Over the years, our mining operations have presented the Company with unique opportunities
to acquire sizable land holdings. As a result of this, land and forestry management
has become an increasingly significant operating activity for the Company. A natural
extension of our core businesses, the real estate division has enabled Drummond
to develop significant land positions across the United States and diversify its
business interests.
Drummond directly owns or has interests in four real estate developments:
Oakbridge, located in Lakeland, Florida;
Liberty Park, located near Birmingham in Vestavia
Hills, Alabama;
Rancho La Quinta, located near Palm Springs
in La Quinta, California; and
Andalusia at Coral Mountain, also located in
La Quinta, California.
The desirability of these residential/ golf courses and mixed-use communities illustrates
the Company's commitment to the highest standard of excellence.
The blend of Drummond's entrepreneurial spirit with its land stewardship skills
continues to sustain its commitment to the land.
